      Agency: MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center

       The MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Centers (MHFHCC) offer a number of specialized programs to help eligible job seekers find employment.  Through the MHFHCC Priority Populations Program, special assistance is offered to DTA and SNAP recipients, mature workers and the formerly incarcerated.

       For DTA and SNAP recipients, both The Competitive Integrated Employment Service (CIES) for families who receive DTA cash benefits, and Work Participant Program (WPP) for those who receive DTA SNAP benefits, are offered to assist in achieving plans for self-sufficiency and employment goals, while meeting DTA work requirements. CIES provides:
        >  Child Care services and transportation reimbursement through DTA
        >  Individual career counseling, job search assistance, and post-employment support
        >  Training funds when appropriate & available 
       The WPP offers acess to workshops, job fairs and employer recruitment, access to the MHFHCC Resource Room, individual career counseling and guidance and training funds when appropriate & available. 

       For mature workers, those 50 years old and over, the MHFHCC can help assess and enhance skills, create resumes, conduct job searches, and present a job seekers' unique skills to employers, as well as provide valuable information and resources. Programs available include the Senior Community Service Employment Program and the 50+ Job Seekers Program.

       Partnering with the Franklin County Houses of Correction, the MHFHCC provides job preparation and job search skills for participants in pre-release programs, and coordinates with the Houses of Correction staff to ensure that people re-entering the community can be connected with employment and training services. Numerous services are available including Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) support and the Federal Hiring Bonds Program.
