The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, known as WIC, provides nutrition and health care information and services to women and children. WIC nutritionists use their expertise in food, diet and nutrition to help people achieve health goals.
WIC's client services include nutrition education, nutritional planning, determination of supplemental food needs, breastfeeding support, immunization checks, health screenings and referrals, healthy food and other services, all provided free of charge to eligible Massachusetts families.
WIC’s goal is to help keep pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women and children under age 5 as healthy as possible. Our staff includes nutritionists and breastfeeding support counselors who are here to provide education and resources for young families.

Eligibility: WIC is for all families: pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, married and single parents (mothers or fathers), foster parents, grandparents, working or not working. Eligibility for participation includes: You live in Massachusetts, are a primary caregiver for child/children under 5 years of age, you are a pregnant, postpartum or breastfeeding mother, have a family income that meets WIC guidelines.
