Job Corps at the Westover Job Corps Center, offers a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The Job Corps program is authorized by Title I-C of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.
Our work-based learning (WBL) program provides students with opportunities to link their career technical training with practical, on-the-job activities. Students participating in WBL improve their work habits and attitudes, identification of goals and aptitudes, and the motivation to complete and further their education. The list of trades taught in our WBL program includes:
Maintenance and Light Repair
Medical Administrative Assistant
Certified Nurse Assistant
Building Construction Technology
At the Westover Job Corps Center, we support the Job Corps program’s mission to teach eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and place them in meaningful jobs or further education.
