Springfield Partners' Eviction Clinic offers counseling and education to Springfield residents at risk of being evicted from their homes. The program offers one-on-one assistance to residents preparing for Hampden County Housing Court hearings. Our counselor serves as a mediator between the tenant and the landlord. The goal is to ensure that tenants know, understand and exercise their rights.
By reaching out to those in danger of eviction and helping prepare participants for their day in court, the Eviction Clinic serves a critical need for homeless prevention. Tenants having a case before the Housing Court are offered two access points, via phone or in person. In person clinics are held on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at our office location: 721 State Street in Springfield, MA 01109. The Eviction Clinic also utilizes the online Housing Court system to notify at risk tenants of eviction services. We have collaborative partnerships with the Fair Housing, Community Legal Aide, and the Hampden County Housing Court.
