The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free Federal and State Tax Return Preparation for low- to moderate-income individuals and families in Berkshire County. Qualified state of Massachusetts residents are eligible for this free tax preparation service, conducted by IRS certified volunteer tax preparers. The program increases the capacity for low-income families to file returns, and improves the accuracy of the returns.
