  • Greenfield Housing Rehabilitation Program

    The City of Greenfield Community and Economic Development Department (CEDD) administers loans and oversees the contractor process to help provide an affordable way for homeowners to complete necessary repairs. Loans through the Housing Rehabilitation Program are 0% interest, deferred loans, payable upon sale or transfer of the home. CEDD also provides assistance to homeowners interested in the MassHousing Get the Lead Out Loan program for lead abatement.

    Loans are available for a wide range of repairs to address code violations and improve living conditions for low-and moderate-income households including lead paint abatement, septic system repair, roof replacement and more. Program benefits also includes assistance with project specs, project oversight, and contractor selection.

    Eligibility: Homeowners who are current on mortgage and taxes and have lived in their home at least a year. Income and other guidelines or restrictions may apply. The eligibility of program applicants will be determined on an individual basis.
