The Bar Advocates Program maintains a panel of attorneys who are appointed by the court to represent those who have been charged with crimes but cannot afford an attorney and/ or who are at risk of incarceration. The Bar Advocates Program is for indigent clients in the in the Northampton and Ware District Courts, Hampshire Juvenile Court, and in some cases Hampshire County Superior Court.
Specialized programs also provide legal services for women who have survived domestic violence, for children, and for elders.
