    The Belchertown Council on Aging/ Belchertown Senior Center is a community-based resource for citizens of Belchertown ages 60 and over. We serve the needs of an average of 175 elders each day. The Senior Center, located just off Route 202 at the William Gerald Whitlock Municipal Complex, is home to a variety of programs and services which include: They include:

    • Accessible Transportation Services both in and out of town - available Monday through Friday.
    • Numerous classes, clubs, wellness clinics and other activities every week. This is a great place to meet new friends.
    • Outreach Services meant to keep seniors as independent as their situation allows.
    • A wide variety of Social Services are available to support our senior members.
    • Other benefits include equipment loans, a monthly newsletter, and volunteer opportunities.
    • Our Nutrition Program provides site and home delivered meals. Meals prepared at the Senior Center five days a week.
    • Adult Supportive Day Program specifically designed for elders who cannot or do not wish to stay at home alone during day.
    At the Belchertown Council on Aging you can also find food assistance administered by the Food Bank of Western Mass. Brown Bag: Food for Elders Program which provides a free bag of healthy groceries to eligible seniors once a month at local senior centers and community organizations.
