Due to COVID-19, the Amherst Senior Center does not anticipate reopening for public visits or in-person programming through the end of the year. However, our office remains open and we still provide many services. Call us at (413) 259-3060 if you need assistance or for information.
The Amherst Senior Center provides a focal point for information and referrals as needed, as well as a wealth of Senior Center activities. At the Amherst Senior Center you can also find food assistance administered by the Food Bank of Western Mass. Brown Bag: Food for Elders Program which provides a free bag of healthy groceries to eligible seniors once a month at local senior centers and community organizations.
Besides the cultural riches created by the surrounding colleges, Amherst has resources specifically aimed at the interests of elders. Visit the Amherst Senior Center in the Bangs Community Center at 70 Boltwood Walk. If you need directions, call 413-259-3060.
