The Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT), Emergency Rental Assistance (ERAP) and HomeBASE programs help keep households in stable housing situations when facing eviction, loss of utilities, and other housing emergencies. These programs provide financial assistance that can be used to help keep their housing, obtain new housing and otherwise help them avoid homelessness, regardless of source of income, lack of income, citizenship, or immigration status.
Both the RAFT and the ERAP programs can provide eligible households up to $10,000 in financial assistance and the opportunity to overcome some of the financial barriers that may lead to homelessness. The amount and type of assistance provided by the HomeBASE program is based on a family's needs, which will be determined through an assessment by the Dept. of Transitional Assistance (DTA).
RAFT and ERAP applications, in English and Spanish, can be found at: www.fcrhra.org/emergency-assistance/raft
