    The Hampshire Elder Law Program (HELP) provides civil legal services and representation to low income elders sixty years of age or older and who reside in Hampshire County, covering matters such as:

    • Bankruptcy
    • Consumer protection
    • Divorce
    • Guardianship
    • Health Care Proxies
    • Powers of Attorney
    • Probate of Estate
    • Wills
    • Other Elder Matters
    This program, which is funded by the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, appoints attorneys to represent clients pro bono.

    Eligibility: Must be 60 years of age or older, a Hampshire County resident, have a need for legal assistance for a civil (not criminal) matter, does not have funds to hire an attorney (meets income and asset limits), and have no other services available to them.
