Clinical and Support Options (CSO) Crisis Programs provide behavioral health assessment, intervention and stabilization for youth, families and adults 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. Individuals may request crisis services on their own or they can be referred by family members, medical providers, schools, state agencies, law enforcement, etc. Crisis Services are available to all individuals regardless of insurance or ability to pay.
Quick Response: Families and individuals can experience the quickest response to a psychiatric crisis (with no medical symptoms) by first calling the local Crisis Services team. Individuals will be seen sooner that way than in the hospital emergency room, and in most cases at the location of their choice. Crisis Services are a preferred alternative to hospital emergency departments (EDs) for individuals seeking behavioral health services when there is no urgent medical condition or immediate safety concern.
CSO has two adult Community Crisis Stabilization residences (sometimes called “respites”) located at the Crisis Office sites in Greenfield and Northampton. CCS residences provide 24-hour support and stabilization for adults age 18 and over admitted on a voluntary basis. CCS is a safe alternative to inpatient care for individuals who can manage their welfare with the guidance and support of our professional staff.
