The Family Services Coordinator at the Brick House works with parents in Turners Falls and the surrounding area who struggle to meet their families’ basic needs by connecting with the existing community resources and services that are available to them, as well as supporting them as they seek larger-scale solutions to challenges they face.
Some of the resources and services available are: Food Stamps (SNAP), Cash Assistance, Fuel Assistance, WIC, medical and dental care, local housing, legal assistance, programs at local family centers, recreational programs such as Parks and Recreation, adult basic education programs, schools, domestic violence support, and a local volunteer ride service. Parents are also supported as they navigate employment situations and the court system.
The Family Services Coordinator can assist with Spanish/English interpretation services as needed in order to provide help with the specific challenges faced by the Latina community.
