The USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants for very low income homeowners to repair and rehabilitate their homes. Grants are also available to non-profit agencies, public bodies, and tribes to assist low income homeowners with repairs.
Eligibility: Very low income homeowners living in eligible towns with population of less than 20,000. For grants, applicants must be 62 years old or older; no age restriction for loans. Grants also available to non-profit agencies, public bodies, and tribes.
