ServiceNet's Franklin, Hampshire and Berkshire County Resource Centers work with homeless and other individuals by assisting with job search, housing search and referrals, accessing mental health (basic mental health counseling), substance abuse services and other needs. Each location serves as a Homeless Drop-in Center, providing a space to warm up and socialize and case management services for those in a shelter or those on the waiting list for a shelter.
Resource Centers are open during the day to pick up water or a cup of coffee, or to use the computers and phones for job and housing searches. One-on-one support and guidance is offered to individuals who wish to set and attain a variety of goals—from securing employment, to achieving sobriety, finding a mental health counselor, signing up for food stamps or social security benefits, or renewing IDs. ServiceNet's Resource Centers also provide a fixed address which can be used to receive mail.
Comprehensive housing search services address issues which may prevent people from finding a home and follow-up programs help individuals keep their housing after moving out of shelters.
